Day 12

Today I walked once again to the Westfield Mall with Paolo. Although rain was predicted it was quite warm and I got bitten by some bug or other. We posted some letters to the UK in the Post Shop and then went to JB Hifi where I was looking for an adjustment so I can download cameras onto my iPad. Paolo disappeared. Some twenty minutes later having thought I'd lost him I asked the security man if he'd seen him and he said have you looked in the games section. And there he was! We walked back. Paolo is always hungry so the whole walk was punctuated with his complaints about hunger!

Earlier a friend of Sams who also home schools had popped in with her daughter. She is an artist and runs art courses for the kids. They make beautiful things from found objects like this.

Later I played games with the kids, uno and knockout whist and did some art with the children.
We had a Chinese stir fry and then we took Paolo to the choir rehearsal for the local Anzac ceremony in Manly which is equivalent to our Remembrance Day. On the way we listened to Aussie folk songs which teach the children Australian history better than the history books.
