Yesterday Marcus and I walked from Curl Curl to get the bus to Manly ferry.
Marcus went on to Central station to meet a friend and I went on to the Art Gallery of New South Wales. This had a mixture of traditional paintings from even the Renaissance to Picasso and Lucien Freud. But to be honest none of this grabbed me. However the Aboriginal Art exhibition I found inspirational because of the content which was about the land and the sea, but also the dyes were naturally made and tertiary greys. The Creator God in Aboriginal faith lives in the sea. There were lots of pictures of turtles migrating, the sand and the ocean. I loved the patterns.
When I came out of the museum there was a sudden storm so I sheltered in the foyer then made my way back to the ferry. Back in Manly which is touristy and a surf centre I wandered around a bit and then caught the bus back to Curl Curl. It was a good day.
