Sam had a long list of things to do preparing for Paolo singing in the choir on Saturday at the ANZAC day of Remembrance in Manly. He had to have his hair cut and get a suit.
Conor decided to stay with me. So he diligently worked on his maths program on the laptop for over an hour. I made Lego people again into what has been nicknamed "the community meeting".
We had a delicious hot drink and shared a bowl of Curly's curly chips with sour creme.
The biscuit is in the shape of a koala bear!
Conor polished off the chips!
He decided he wanted to investigate the fallen tree in the field to see what had happened to it so we made a diversion. My shoes and socks got soaking wet yet again as everything is still sodden from the worst storm in twelve years here. Some parts of Sydney are closed due to flooding and many people lost power for some time.
Conor decided the tree was ripe for climbing!
The lagoon behind is still very swollen by the excess water.
But it was a beautiful day and Australian Ibis had collected to dip their large beaks into the surface water to retrieve bugs for food.
When we got back Paolo arrived with his hair cut.
Amber baked cup cakes while the boys went off to their drama class.
This is what it was like in Sydney over the last few days!
